Marine and other(s) receive letter of
appreciation a for solving a case

Naha Police Department presented letters of
appreciation to a Marine and a local dentist, who apprehended together a purse
snatcher in Naha City last month.
Narration:
The awardees are Marine Sgt. Joshua Rule from Camp
Zukeran (of U. S. military) and Hiroo Nakazato, dentist, from Naha. It was
reported that the two pursued on foot and apprehended a 45-years-old purse
snatcher who grabbed a bag from an architect on the street of Kumoji, Naha.
Tatsuji Yamanoha, superintendent, Naha Police Department, said during the
ceremony that the great act of the two helped Naha Police quickly solve the
case. A letter of appreciation and a plaque were given to the two.
Sgt. Rule:
I greatly appreciate and am humbled by the letter of
appreciation the Naha Police Department has given me. I think I did what anyone
would do in that situation and anybody should.
Dr. Nakazato:
If I were alone, there was no way I couldn’t done it,
apprehending (the suspect). Thinking back, I get a little scared. But, I did
what I could and I’ll try to do the same (if I was in the same situation) in
the future.
